Snowy winter vacation in Zell am See

The winter in one of the most beautiful region of the Austrian Alps.

The winter vacation in Zell am See stands for a picturesque winter landscape and for a rich winter sports offer – whether skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, winter hiking, ice skating or tobogganing – here winter sports fans get what they want.

Pure winter fun

Leisurely tracing your tracks through the snow or speeding towards the valley: 29 kilometers of difficult downhill runs in the Europa Sports Region are no walk in the park, even for experienced skiers and their equipment. However, a thick white splendor and sparkling snow crystals make not only these routes a real experience. Even the less challenging routes offer plenty of skiing fun. Difficult routes are marked in black, advanced slopes carry red signs. Red routes, for example, lead on the Kitzsteinhorn from the Alpincenter at 2,452 meters to the Gletscherjet 2 station at 1,976 meters. Up to the Häuslalm there, you can also ski down directly from the summit station at 3,029 meters via a beginner’s route (blue marking). This downhill run is just one alternative from a 130-kilometer-long, incomparably diverse range of slopes that the Europa Sports Region has in store for its guests. The Schmittenhöhe is a center of attraction for demanding skiing enthusiasts from all over the world. On the 2,000 meter high mountain, present some of the jewels among the ski slopes of the Alps. From the summit you can descend via Schmittental to the outskirts of Zell am See. It doesn’t matter whether you want to cultivate a more ambitious style or are still shy because you’ve only been on the boards for a few days. All routes include the mountain experience ‘Alps’, the diverse nature of the region and plenty of fun for young and old.
